Plan Now for Respect Life Activities in October
October is Respect Life Month, an ideal time to focus and pray for the protection of the unborn and for all human life. Lots of activities are planned to help you do just that.
The highlight for the month is the Celebrate Life Banquet. You can join fellow parishioners at the St. Francis Xavier table on Friday, October 24 for the Celebrate Life Banquet. Tickets are $90 each include a delicious meal and the chance to meet other PA pro-lifers. Kayleigh McEnany of Fox News is the keynote speaker. The Pro-Life Ad is a chance to create awareness of the importance to protect human life, and show your support. For a donation of only $5, you can sign the Pro-Life ad, which will appear in the Gettysburg Times in the month of October. Volunteers will be available after all Masses on Sept. 20-21 and Sept. 27-28 to receive your donation and get your signature.
Baby items will be collected during October and given to Tender Care Pregnancy Center and the Gabriel Project. Look for the bins in the Xavier Center. The Respect Life Committee will happily accept diapers, clothes, toys and other items for babies and young children. throughout October, Respect Life Month. Your generous gifts will be shared with Tender Care Pregnancy Center and the Gabriel Project.
Lastly, you can pray the rosary with members of the Respect Life Committee every Sunday during October. It takes place at 2:00 p.m. in the Historic Church every Sunday.
