Spiritually Adopt and Pray for a Baby in the Womb
Our parish Spiritual Adoption is underway! But it’s not too late to join in!
Please consider spiritually adopting a recently conceived baby. It
is very easy to Spiritually Adopt a new life; there is no sign-up or registration necessary. Just pick up a Spiritual Adoption Certificate (available at Xavier Center and the Historic Church), name your baby, and pray the prayer daily until Mother’s Day (May 9, 2027). Learn more below.
Throuhgout our parish’s Spiritual Adoption activity, we’ll be sharing the baby’s monthly development with you, so you can track its growth.
Day One
At the moment the father’s sperm and mother’s egg unite, a new and unrepeatable human being comes into existence, complete with his own unique set of DNA. Although he is only one cell, everything about this little person is already present: eye color, blood type, the height he will grow to be, color of hair - everything! He will play a role in his family and his community – a role only he can play! Nothing is added after conception to make him a complete human being. He already exists; all he needs is nourishment, a safe, warm environment, and most of all – love. His parents don’t know he exists yet. Pray for them to bring their baby to birth so he can fulfill the plan God has for him.
